What Causes Facial Wrinkles?
Facial lines and wrinkles develop due to a combination of factors including aging, genetics, sun exposure, gravity, and repetitive muscle movement. Muscles used for facial expressions such as frowning, squinting, or raising the eyebrows can create and deepen lines over time. When these movements are exaggerated or frequent, muscle activity plays a significant role in wrinkle formation.

How Dysport Works
Dysport Cosmetic is a prescription medication injected into specific muscles of facial expression. It works in the same way that Botox works, by temporarily blocking nerve signals to the targeted muscles, reducing their activity. As the muscles relax, wrinkles caused by muscle contraction soften and appear less noticeable. Muscle activity gradually returns over 3 to 5 months, at which time repeat treatment can maintain results.
